Hello Welcome to the Manchester Young Quakers web site We are a small group of Quakers who meet at least once a month socially. We welcome people between the ages of 18 and 40 to our events. It is possible we will add to our meeting schedule depending on interest. Activities to date have included a trip to Heaton Park, shared lunches, fundraising for the YFGM appeal, decorating candles and napkins and playing with salt dough.

We raised over £200 for the YFGM appeal ReWrite from the collection and our stall. Thank you to everyone who helped and supported us.
We try to meet every first Sunday of each month, and tend to provide food and conversation. Please contact for details of when we are next meeting. Over the Summer 08 we might go bowling and do a number of other events.

In May last year we received some money from the Janet Christopher Legacy. This is intended to be used to cover some of our basic costs but the main idea behind it was that it should also fund a trip. This has not yet taken place but will happen this Summer. Amy and Hugo are starting to think about some of the possibilities. If you have any ideas or suggestions of places you would like to go, things to do and/or see then please get in touch. Otherwise look out for more information as it comes
The new noticeboard in Mount Street is now looking bright and colourful and full of useful information including forms and a copy of YQ, thanks Amy!
